Central NSW – Bathurst : Mount Panorama

Mount Panorama racing circuit was officially opened in 1938. When not used for racing the circuit is a public road and we thoroughly enjoyed “racing” a couple of laps arount the twisty course in the trusty Dmax, unfortunately the 60km speed limit does curtail the entertainment a bit!

People may not realise that the circuit really is a normal road on non racing days and there are numerous properties within and around the circuit, including a winery in the middle! There are also quite a few private driveways entering behind strategically placed concrete barriers. The views from the top are great and this is one activity not to miss if you visit Bathurst.

There is also a motor museum on site with a statue of the late Peter Brock at the front, admission charge is about $15 per person.
