Alan had a bowls competition and the small town of Beaufort between Ballarat and Ararat, The town has a great golf club and bowls club which are combined and we stayed across the road at the lovely little caravan park. The sites were beautiful and green, amenities old style but very clean. The part is right next to the lake which unfortunately has very little water at the moment. There is a great walking track around the lake, complete with exercise equipment for the energetically inclined!
